Ways To Volunteer
JA In A DayWhere: In a school classroom in our community
This experience uses the same JA programs as the traditional method, but it's condensed into a single day for a high-impact experience! Perfect for the volunteer who can take just a day away from work.Learn more about JA In A Day
JA Finance ParkWhere: JA Finance Park at Libbie Mill Library
"Kids are expensive."
"Is this how my parents feel?"
Want to help local high school students come to these realizations and more? Spend a day with us! At JA Finance Park, you'll work alongside a small group of students as they attempt to make ends meet given an adult persona. Days are fast, fun, and meaningful and include all training and materials. No specific expertise required.
K-12 Learning Experiences
Young kids are the best. If you have a child in elementary school and want to share your experiences while presenting multimedia financial education and enjoy working with younger kids, contact JA of Central Virginia to learn more about volunteering with JA!
Middle School students are the best. Volunteering with kids can be so much fun but it helps when those students are more engaged and curious about the future and the kind of jobs that exist. If you enjoy working with kids, contact JA of Central Virginia to learn more about volunteering with JA.
Young adults are the best. If you enjoy working with kids that are ready to tackle the world but are looking for the paths to be opened up to them and are fascinated by innovation and entrepreneurship, contact JA of Central Virginia to learn about volunteering with JA.
