You have to experience it to understand it, but we guarantee, you will leave wishing you had had this opportunity as a teenager. This financial literacy laboratory exists to inspire and prepare young people to succeed. There is no question about it: financial literacy and sound money management skills are essential to success. Today more than ever, young adults need a strong foundation for making intelligent, lifelong, personal financial decisions.

 

JA Finance Park allows high school students to experience what it's like to be in charge of their finances as adults without the consequences they could face in real life. This preparation boosts their skills and confidence to handle future financial choices. And they get to practice these skills in a fast, fun, and impactful simulation alongside you, their volunteer!

How You Can Participate

Volunteers are needed to coach small groups of students throughout their day at JA Finance Park. Sign up by yourself or with a group of up to 20. Email Kay at kmorgan@jatoday.org for available dates during the school year.

 

No special budgeting expertise or preparation is necessary and thorough training is provided for all volunteers.
