Program Manager

The Program Manager facilitates student learning experiences as an integral part of the Program team. This position requires a person who can work within a highly collaborative, innovative, solution-driven team; coordinate programmatic initiatives; support program participants; and help expand the reach and impact of Junior Achievement of Central Virginia. The Program Manager is responsible for the life cycle of several in-person and virtual programs, including outreach, administration, resource development, and management procedures to ensure high quality, efficient program implementation. Full benefits include medical/dental/life insurance (premiums paid in full for single coverage), eligibility for retirement plan (401k) after three months, and paid time off. Salary range is $42,000-$45,000 based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

PROGRAM FACILITATION:
Facilitate or assist in JA Finance Park a portion of the time, an in-person program with up to 100 students (primarily high school)
Coordinate multiple in-person and virtual programs
Organize, coordinate, and maintain program communications
Innovate to increase efficiency to best meet community needs
Recruit and train volunteers and teachers
Develop, localize, and update program materials as necessary
Solicit, record, and incorporate program feedback

TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT:
Serve as tech support for participants in virtual programs
Maintain database entries, analyze data, and create reports (CRM, Excel, Google Analytics, Power BI, etc.)
Manage program materials and technology (program kits, tablets, Google Sites, etc.)
Troubleshoot basic computer problems
Edit and produce videos (using Camtasia or similar software)

Administrative duties and other program support as needed

The work schedule is 9-5, Monday through Friday, though hours shift up to two hours earlier based on program needs, typically during the school year. Temporary remote work may be considered based on external factors.

Qualifications (required)

The successful candidate will be task-focused, self-directed, collaborative, and have the ability to learn quickly and develop creative solutions in a team-based environment. They should be able to manage multiple projects at once and have strong communication and organizational skills to maintain program impact and constituent relationships. The right person will be mission-driven, flexible, and innovative to respond to the ever-changing needs of school systems across Central Virginia.

Qualified candidates must have:

Organizational, time management, and planning skills
Willingness to innovate and adapt to changing needs
Strong oral and written communication, public speaking, and customer service skills
Comfort with technology troubleshooting

Development Manager

Junior Achievement of Central Virginia seeks a dynamic, creative, and organized individual with a growth mindset to join our fast-paced team. This position assists in raising financial support to meet the goals of the organization through corporate and individual funding sources, foundations, and events. The ideal candidate will have experience in database management, special events, and general fundraising activities. Full benefits include medical/dental/life insurance (premiums paid in full for single coverage), eligibility for retirement plan (401k) after three months, and paid time off. Salary range is $47,000-$50,000 based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

FUNDRAISING AND DATA MANAGEMENT:
Collaborate with Director of Development on updating and monitoring the annual development calendar to ensure year-round engagement and stewardship of individual donors; Coordinate the production of a range of materials for donor solicitation
Manage data entry information in donor management system
Process and enter pledges and donations; Generate and track tax-receipts and acknowledgement letters
Prepare and mail annual appeals
Conduct research on individual, corporate, and foundation prospects
Assist in drafting proposals and reports
Assist with grant-writing and follow-up reports
Draft other materials as needed, such as quarterly board reports and annual report
Work with programs department to collect and organize student and volunteer testimonials
Manage department-related pages on website; Contribute to social media content and e-newsletters
Provide administrative support to Director of Development

SPECIAL EVENTS:
Coordinate all special events; Maintain planning calendar
Create and coordinate event correspondence, marketing, communications, and production of event materials; Design and develop sponsor collateral
Serve as lead support for all special events; Manage logistics and serve as point of contact for vendors, sponsors, speakers, and registrants; Coordinate vendor contracts; Manage guest lists
Record and track event data and constituent information, including budget information, registration lists, and results
Track and fulfill sponsorship recognition and benefits
Serve as staff liaison of Young Professionals Board

Organizational, prioritization, time management, and planning skills
Attention to detail
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Creativity and growth mindset
